Rant On Player Autograph’s

AUTHOR: Wesley | IN: Hurricanes | COMMENTS: 1 Comment |

Let’s be honest, when it comes to meeting some of the big name players in the NHL we are all still giddy little kids.  I bring this up because of people who want to just get autographs to turn around and sell ruin it for all of us true hockey fans.  I personally try to get an autograph from my favorite Hurricanes and NHL superstars when they come to town.  However,  I collect them because I want to show my children one day the card collections and to have something to share, god willing, with my boy or boys.  Usually I like to get pictures with the players and then have them signed.  My girlfriend is a big Tim Gleason fan.  She has a background of the games in October, just because Gleason was the featured athlete.  Well to surprise her I got a Tim Gleason card and tried to get it signed.  Gleason really did not want to sign it, because he thought I was just trying to sell the card.  First I am not singling out Gleason because I understand how it’s frustrating it is to sign autograph after autograph and to wonder if they are just being sold.  I just think it is a shame that for true fans who just want something to be signed their favorite players have to suffer because of people that want to make a profit off the players talent.  My best advice if you are after a autograph to keep, because your a true fan, get it personalized and they are more likely to sign it.  I am thankful Gleason was nice enough to sign the card, my girlfriend was super excited to receive it.

Atlanta vs. Carolina Preview Coming Soon….
