Toronto Maple Leafs vs. Carolina Hurricanes: The Battle of the Worst
Tonight matches the two worst teams in the NHL. If that’s not bad enough the Hurricanes could possibly be without their top three forwards. Ray Whitney and Tuomu Ruutu are going to be game time decisions while it was announced Staal will miss 2-4 weeks. The Hurricanes last win came on home ice October 9th.
Since the game on Wednesday the Hurricanes have brought up their 2008 first round pick Zack Boychuk. The lineup will all depend on if Whitney and Ruutu play tonight. The lines from the Florida game worked pretty well for the Hurricanes, but they were unable to finish. If the Hurricanes can finish tonight what they started in Florida then they will have a good shot against the Leafs tonight.
Who will leave the RBC Center tonight with the distinction of last place is yet to be seen, but if the Hurricanes can put three periods together like the first in Florida the Hurricanes might not be in the basement.
Prediction
TOR 0 CAR 2 F
Notes: Phil Kessel 2 game as a Toronto Maple Leaf
Matchup of Worst in the NHL
Here’s proof Jokinen could take over if Whitney and Ruutu do not play, but let’s hope they do.
